Most would say yes. The more attractive you are, the more likely you are to get hired sooner, get promotions quicker, and be more successful overall. Right?
Studies have shown that if you are more attractive, you are more likely to get that job you have been pining for than, say, your less-attractive competition. So, in some cases, yes, attractiveness does play a role in success—but is it the key to wealth?
To test this theory, we analyzed the facial geometry of more than 1,000 of the wealthiest billionaires in the world using Face++’s face detection software. This software computed the beauty score of each individual from both the male and female perspective. We then took the beauty score of each perspective to find their average attractiveness overall.
The results are surprising—and may be disappointing for some.
